LIVEABOARD TRIP SCHEDULE

  • 5 diving days for a total of 17-18 dives

  • Complimentary dive gear rental is also a limited time offer

  • Fuel surcharge will be USD 125 pp and park and port fee will be USD 135 pp.

  • Day 1: 12:00 – 16:30 – Check in, boat briefing and cruising to Malapascua’s Kimud Shoal
     

  • Day 2: Wakeup 6:00am and dive safety briefing 7:00am – Dive 1 & 2 – Kimud Shoal (Thresher Shark Dive), Dive 3 & 4 – Gato island, Dinner Cruising to Moalboal.
     

  • Day 3: Wakeup, Dive Briefing, Dive 5 – Pescador Island, Dive 6 – Moalboal Sardines dive , Dive 7 – Moalboal Turtle Point, Dive 8 – Moalboal Night Dive, Dinner Cruising to Apo Island
     

  • Day 4: Dive 9 – Apo Island Chapel Point, Dive 10 – Apo Island Coconut Point, Dive 11 – Apo island – Rock East Point, Dive 12 – Zamboanguita Night Dive, Dinner Cruising to Pamilacan Island
     

  • Day 5: Dive 13 – Pamilacan Spanish Tower, Dive 14 – Pamilacan Dakitdakit, Dive 15 – Pamilacan Snapper Run, Dive 16 – Pamilacan Turtle Point, Dinner Cruising to Balicasag Island
     

  • Day 6: 06:00 – Dive 17 – Balicasag Black Forest, Dive 18 – Balicasag Rudy’s Rock, Departure Briefing - Lunch Cruising Back to Cebu Yacht Club Mactan
     

  • Day 7: Wakeup call 6:30, Breakfast 7:30-08:30 – Check out / boat disembarkation / hotel, airport transfer

Good to know

  • Diver prerequisites - Diver level Minimum OWD or AOWD with 20+ logged dives. Please bring along your dive certification cards. If you have lost your certificates, we can check online certificates for PADI. Your dive certificate is mandatory to dive.
     

  • If last time you went diving was more than 6 months ago &/ have less than 30 logged dives you will need to do a scuba review prior to trip.
     

  • Maximum depth for each diver is according to their certification level. However usually maximum dive depth wouldn’t exceed 30m.
     

  • The nearest re-compression chamber is in Cebu City.
     

  • All diving is guided with a maximum of 6 divers per guide
     

  • If you miss the dive briefing you will not be allowed to join the dive.
     

  • No alcohol is permitted before or between dives.
     

  • It’s recommended that each buddy team dive with an SMB, which are provided free of charge
     

  • Make sure that you drink enough fluids during the day, “Decompression Sickness” and ill-being are commonly associated with dehydration.
     

  • 15 litre tanks are available and need to be pre booked.
     

  • Those using an underwater camera need to comply with the “Safe Diving” and the “Ecological Awareness” rules. The guides or instructors may prohibit you to use the camera underwater if the same are not adhered to.
     

  • Check in time on the liveaboard is between 11am - 4pm.
     

  • Food: Cuisines include Thai, Pilipino, Chinese, Indian and Western. All food is served buffet style with snacks and fruit available throughout the day. The boat can cater to special requests, however please limit those to allergies or religious beliefs only. Water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, beer and wine is free of charge, liquors available for purchase on boat.
     

  • There is NO guest internet available on board. There is satellite connection for emergencies only. Mobile phone signal strength varies throughout each cruise but is typically stronger when in close proximity to major islands, such as Cebu, Negros or Palawan.
     

  • All prices are in US dollar... They do accept Euro, GBP, CNY, Au1, or Philippine Peso onboard as well.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

  • 30% payment of total cost to block your spot (pay before 31st October 2023 to avail of Early Bird Discount)
     

  • Remaining 70% of total cost to be paid by 30th November 2023
     

  • If cancelled before 3rd Dec 2023, 30% of trip amount is chargeable
     

  • If cancelled after 3rd Dec 2023, 100% of trip amount is chargeable

Orca Dive Club will not be responsible for no diving due to weather conditions, for civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, illness, epidemics, accidents, injuries, damage, loss and theft, quarantine, customs regulations, changes in flight itinerary, delays, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities and in case of any cancellation or changes to itinerary by the Local Government. For qualified divers, you are expected to be able to dive to a standard as per the certification and experience requirements outlined. You are responsible for your own and your buddy’s safety during the dive.
