Description

Get your SCUBA diving certification with the PADI® Open Water Diver course at Orca Dive Club – the world’s most popular and widely recognized SCUBA course.

To enroll for this course:

  • You must be 10 years of age or older

  • Adequate swimming skills are mandatory

  • Student must be physically fit

  • No prior SCUBA experience is required

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online / offline / manual, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of SCUBA diving

  • Confined Water Dives (Pool Sessions) to learn basic SCUBA skills

  • Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore the amazing underwater world!!!

Equipment

  • In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic SCUBA gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. Check with us about the gear you will be using during this course and get advice about everything you need from our PADI Instructors.

Getting Started

  • You can also start learning with PADI’s home-study materials – Open Water Diver (available on iOS, Android and via Web Viewer) or the Open Water Diver Manual and Open Water Diver Video (a book and DVD package). Drop us an email to enrol for the course, get your materials and start reading the book and watching the video. Once you enrol for the course and sign up for the theory, we can then schedule the Pool training sessions with you. These usually are over ONE weekend or TWO weekdays depending on the batch size and availability.
