PADI Open Water Diver Certification

1. Knowledge Development

Learn the lingo! During the first phase of your PADI Open Water Diver certification, you develop an understanding of the basic principles of SCUBA diving. You learn how pressure affects your body, how to choose the best SCUBA gear for yourself and what to consider when planning dives.

You briefly review what you have studied in the five knowledge development sections with your instructor and take a short quiz. At the end of the course, you will be required to take an exam to ensure you have understood all the key concepts and ideas of SCUBA Diving. You and your instructor will review anything that you don’t quite understand until it is clear.

PADI has made it easier by offering E Learning and we are happy to offer you the same!

With E learning, you need to register with under dive shop, "Orca Dive Club". Post this you can avail of all the study material / videos online and can take the online theory exam in the comfort of your home or office.

2. Confined Water Dives – Scuba Skills Training

This is what it’s all about – Diving!

You develop basic skills by SCUBA diving in a pool or body of water with pool-like conditions. Here, you will be introduced to all your SCUBA equipment and will learn how to assemble it.
You will practice some emergency skills, like sharing air or replacing your SCUBA mask.
You will learn various underwater skills essential to be a good & safe SCUBA Diver.

We will also play some underwater games with you and make sure you have a great time diving & making new friends with your fellow divers!

The confined water training session is held over two consecutive days. During this session you attain the necessary skills you need to dive.
